THE PURPOSE OF MY WORK
My interests in fantastical art, writing, fighting, and philosophy are indirectly related. I use them to contemplate the meaning of life - integrating them in a kind of religious way.
My graphic novels/illustrated stories are spiritual parables with sci-fi/horror imagery ( monsters, robots, mma cyborgs, demons, cute characters etc.).
I also concoct my own meditations/affirmations, and martial arts strategies - inspired by my 'peaceful warrior' characters.
I've posted the artwork and writings( excerpts from comix, and stories; samples of philosophical musings, prose and poetry).
Some of the work is experimental. For instance, certain illustrations are conceptual designs for possible characters and scenes in my tales.
What's my philosophy, and how is it expressed in all of its ecclectic forms?
I believe that the 'ultraverse' or God/the universe/nature/higher consciousness ( I call it the 'unalterable mass because of its impermeable state) is trying to create an expanding, yet self-sustaining multi-layered reality with its vibrating aura. If we tune in a certain way, this higher intuition can drive us to create an expressive, yet stable, self-sustaining society... a global society of limitless opportunities, not just equal. It'll be modeled after the university and internet, in terms of public access to education, networks, and resources...this can lead to an unbureaucratic system, where work, play,creativity, community, individuality, and learning aren't so separate.
This level of enlightment allows us to explore our infinite potential with less comprimise. Our minds will be expanded in the process, henceforth allowing us to experience even greater thrills, deeper truths, and so on. We'll experience a self-sustaining high, a kind of 'merry-go-round state, since we'll be like all-adjoining gears in the cosmic locomotive, able to go with any turn. Though the wheels and gears differ in size and turn at different speeds, they're all guided by the basic motions of the interconnecting route - of a more just world.
The paradox is that the unalterable mass, because of its very pure state, can't reach or bless us to the fullest - for its descending vibration becomes a kind of shadowy god-source or constraining paradigm in this intermediary realm of inherant extremes, limitations, and contradictions - shadow gods and paradigms which many mistake to be the very source of it all, or as ultimate truths. With our repressive conditioning and limited sensitivity, we can at best guess in our attempt at identifying the shadows and echoes of the ineffable.
So I believe we should use compassion and an empowering mindset/activity ( religious or intellectual practice, artform, or raw yet refined way of thinking - whatever form of enlightment) to create an interdimensional psychic bridge through all the spiritual debris and clutter, the falsehoods... this bridge can be thought of as being a kind of filter or drainer, letting the water slip through while stabilizing the meal.
We should tune in to something that's already there, rather than 'define' its amorphous shadow or follow its allusions and illusions - for our fragmented understanding divides us further; putting us at odds with one another in the forms of general frustration, jealousy, discrimination/xenophobia, religious intolerance, political and educational bias, and war .
Thus we can use whatever inner path to cross the 'bridge' - coming to terms with the contradictions so as to be bold, not arrogant, meek, not submissive, expressive, not exploitative, erotic and sensual, not perverted, cooperative, not conformist, educated, not indoctrinated, attuned, not attached, etc... this collective enlightment is a great step in shaping this convoluted consciousness into a more self-aware, shared one - a truly collective consciousness in alignment with the unalterable mass.

excerpts from stories
These are samples of my writing. The first is from 'Spencer and the Tankbuster'. This short story is an unlikely buddy tale: about how an apocalyptic sparring match impacts three fighters, an idealistic wanna-be, a cynical contender, and a wrathful, seemingly invincible prodigy. This training session enables them to face their repressed humanity in a futuristic fascist world ( dominated by militarism and violence). This is especially tricky considering that these fighters aren't quite human( one is an effeminate, fairy-like creature, the other 2 are cyborgs.
Tankbuster, an mma cyborg, is on the verge of giving in to the pressure of his mighty opponent, Fullmer. As you see, he finds the proper motivation for his counterattack - a motivation beyond machismo, hatred, and other draining emotion. During his struggle, he finds one of the the sources of humankind's suffering - and a cure - that source being society's dismissal of those deemed unworthy by the dehumanizing system ( those who've perished in war and disaster, 'losers', the 'weak' etc), and the cure being a deeper empathy that fixes and resurrects their shattered spirits. He is thus blessed and empowered by the newly-integrated, vindicated spirit of the cosmos.
This piece is from 'Boxing Sugary Nina' This is a description of the lion-tiger, a contender in a surreal boxing world. Since people haven't found peace and stability, their spirits are assimilated into the bodies of giant monstrous mma fighters, 'drafted' to fight life-and-death matches in a reality turned upside down by the unresolved extremes and contradictions.
